CARE Homes Initiative
When we learned the threat institutional investors posed to our local housing market, we created an antidote to that threat. In January of 2022, The Port acquired 194 single-family homes from an out-of-town investor and launched the Creating Affordable Real Estate (CARE) Homes initiative. Our intent is to provide housing stability and provide pathways toward homeownership.
The Port, Hamilton County Landbank, and HURC all contribute to our rehabilitation and development strategy across Hamilton County.
