Muhammad “Saram” Waraich

Muhammad “Saram” Waraich joined The Port’s neighborhood team in 2022. As a senior development associate, he specializes in housing initiatives. His primary responsibilities include project management for residential and commercial properties, grant writing, and market research. He plays a critical role in operations and construction management for the Homesteading & Urban Redevelopment Corporation (HURC), an Ohio 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, and a managed entity of The Port. Additionally, Saram supports the Creating Affordable Real Estate (CARE) Homes Initiative, which is a key part of The Port’s overall strategy to increase access to homeownership.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Urban Development from DePauw University and an Executive MBA, graduating cum laude, from Sullivan University, Kentucky.
