8th and Sycamore
Residential Tower adding 131 new downtown apartments near Procter & Gamble
Port lease structure facilitates apartment development
8th & Sycamore is designed to have a dramatic impact on the Cincinnati skyline and add more places to live downtown. This mixed-use development in the Central Business District includes a 15-story, mixed-use apartment building with 131 units and parking garage. Working with the developers and the City of Cincinnati, The Port owns portions of the project, which it will lease to the apartment developer, an affiliate of North American Properties.
The apartments will include studio, 1- and 2- bedroom floor plans, including some residences with den spaces. Each unit will feature quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and additional luxury finishes. The residential development will boast other high-end amenities including pool and sun deck, party room, well-appointed exercise room, and a grand lobby. The street level will include two commercial spaces that will have the potential to accommodate retail, dining or entertainment tenants. Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) completed the parking garage in 2016.

"The Port has been wonderful to work with. Without the Port's sales tax exemption, we could not build this project."
