Andrew Garth
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Andrew Garth joined The Port in 2022 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In this role, he oversees The Port’s legal affairs and manages strategic initiatives as part of the agency’s executive leadership team. He has spent much of his legal career advancing public policy and good governance goals from within local government. Andrew represents The Port in efforts to create a regional green bank and, generally, in The Port’s efforts to incorporate environmentally sustainable practices into its work.
Andrew came to The Port from the Cincinnati City Solicitor’s Office, where he worked for three different mayors and multiple city administrations. He spent two years as City Solicitor overseeing the City’s law department and serving as primary legal advisor to the City Manager, Mayor, and City Council.
Andrew brings his legal and administrative experience to the day-to-day implementation of Port programs and the advancement of strategic growth initiatives. Before moving to Cincinnati in 2011, he served as a deputy city attorney for the City and County of San Francisco. He earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School with an emphasis on conflict resolution. He is married with two children attending Cincinnati Public Schools.
